Crestron Prodigy Lighting
Controlling your lights with Prodigy
Prodigy offers lighting control with its range of dimmable and switched lighting modules. These simple add on products expands any Prodigy solution to offer cost efficiency and energy saving on a home lighting system.
The Crestron DIN-1DIM4U universal DIN rail module

The Crestron Prodigy solution uses the DIN-1DIMU4 DIN rail mounted dimmer module to provide 4 channels of forward and reverse phase dimming with auto load detection with the ability to power loads of 1200watts maximum per channel or bridged to offer higher wattage loads.
DIN Rail installation – Based on a DIN RAIL installation the DIN-1DIMU4 can be easily mounted in any environment
16 Dimmable loads – A maximum of 4 DIN units can be used in series on the Prodigy system to offer up to 16 individual circuits of lighting, every channel can be controlled and scene set to any control button or remote in the Prodigy system. For larger lighting solutions you need to look at adding the new PMC-3XP processor allowing you to combine Prodigy with Crestrons full residential lighting control
DIN Circuit controlled switch – Each circuit has it’s own “test” button on the front of the DIN rail making it ideal to test the circuit itself or to simply control lights on and off prior to programming.
Scene setting the Prodigy Lighting

One of the more unique features of the Prodigy solution, is it’s ability to allow you to change the preset lighting scenes yourself, so no more expensive return visits from engineers once the system is set up.
To change a scene – Go to your lighting control scene, and select scenes, from there you can see clearly the room selection, and each circuit is labelled clearly to recognise which lighting circuit your controlling, simply use the fader control to dim the lights up and down on each circuit, once your happy with the desired lighting scene, simply keep your finger on the scene you wish to change for a few seconds you will see the scene flash and that’s it, your new scene is set.
